Exploratory Study:
Flight Booking Behavior on Mobile

A large scale survey, looking at the behavior of business travelers as they book flights on mobile devices. The aim was to identify business opportunities and establish the UX strategy for the CWT flight booking platform on mobile.  The results are based on an online survey with 594 business travelers.

 Main insight:

Booking on mobile requires a higher level of confidence.

Experienced travelers (expert and advanced) are more likely to book on mobile, as it requires a level of confidence that is acquired with some experience in travel. That has an effect on the type of flights that are being booked on mobile - higher-classed flights,  booked closer to the time of travel. Therefore, the flights booked on mobile tend to be more expensive than on a computer.
